NEWS FROM ROOM 631
I just got off the phone with Becky and she said the Doctor came in today and told Daddy that the cancer had gone through to the abdomen and they considered it to be metastasized. He did not say that it is in the lemphnoids but did say it is in the blood stream and that he didn't know if they were going to do chemo because the type of cancer that he has is so rare the chemo is experimental. They have scheduled him an appointment next week with the oncologist in Montgomery and told him they would be very interested to see what he had to say. Daddy is being discharged today and basically the doctor told him to live each day to the fullest and enjoy life because we don't know what tomorrow will bring. This are words we do not want to hear. All I can say is maybe the oncologist will have a more optimistic view on things.

I LOVE MY GEEETAR
During Christmas Adam's brother Nick brought his guitar to our family dinner and Brody fell in love with it and hasn't stoped playing it since. He absolutely loves it! It only has four stings and is sooooo out of tune it isn't even funny. But believe me that doesn't matter to Brody. Every night when we get home he runs into the office and starts strumming the stings and Lord help if Adam picks it up and starts playing he will dance himself silly. The other night I bet he danced for 30 minutes non stop. When Adam would start he would start crying.... and ya'll have to understand this thing sounds like a dying dog. It is awful! On a more serious note I would like to thank everyone for your calls and prayers for Daddy. They Doctor told him today he should get to come home tomorrow or Wednesday ifffffff he keeps progressing. We still don't have all the test result but we should know more hopefully very soon! LOVE-MS
Pray.......
As I am sure alot of you know my Daddy had surgery on Friday the 16th and the doctor removed around 10 inches of his small intestine along with a tumor. Once the tumor was removed we found out it was a Carcinoid Tumor that has been there for some time according to the doctor. We then found out that the tumor is malignant and further surgery will be needed to find out were all the cancer is. We are supposed to be finding out more on the type of chemo after more test results come back. We were not expecting this at all, which I know no one ever is. But he had been diagnosed with irritable bowel syndrome for about 7 years ago and we thought that the tumor was the cause of that diagnosis not a whole other illness. Some one approached me in Wal-Mart and asked me if I cared if she put Daddy on a pray list a church and I told her I want everyone that can know about this to know. The more people that know- the more people that can pray for healing.... I believe the power of prayer is an awesome thing.
Thank you all for your calls and keep praying!

Fun in a Box

Adam and I decided we needed to buy a new filing cabinet to keep all our important "stuff" in. So we went to Target and made the purchase brought the thing home and Adam for some reason was so excited about " getting organized" he wanted everything to go in it that second. This was all well and good until Brody started helping. Getting organized quickly became not such a good idea after all. Anyway, Adam put the empty box in the den and was trying to show Brody that playing in a box was fun....... even though the box was entirely to small they both finally got in together. Here is the picture of daddy and Brody- playing in a box way to small to play in.

Weekend fun at the Pipers-
This weekend was loads of fun! Braxton turned 5 and we got to go play at his house. I think Adam and I had more fun than Brody. It was so great to see everyone. I wish we could get together more often but with everyone living at different ends of the world and all the children it is so hard. Hue and Amanda brought Hudson for everyone to ahhhh over and let me just say....... little Hue- end of story. He is beautiful! I wish I would have had time to hold him. Maybe next time. I have new pic's but not with me. I should be posting them asap. Hope everyone's weekend was wonderful-

Christmas 2008!

Ohhhhh what a Christmas! We had more fun this year than we have had in years. When you have a child its like the magic comes back even more so than when you were little. Only now that you are the adult the magic has to come with a thicker wallet and and car that the 3rd row seat will fold down. Watching my sweet baby on Christmas morning is something I will never forget. And I pray that I don't considering the video camera erased the whole 40 minutes of Brody opening presents and playing with his toys.... Oh yes , the WHOLE Christmas - GONE.... I can't tell you have sick it made me. But what is done is done. Here are some pictures from that day.
